McCordsville Veterinary Hospital Team
McCordsville, IN
Providing excellent veterinary services since 1998
Our doctors and the rest of the veterinary team are dedicated and passionate animal lovers who place your pet’s health and well-being above anything else!

Scot Harbin, DVM
When not at work, you will usually find him spending time with his wife and boys, Alexander and Zachary. The household would not be complete without the family pets; one golden retriever (Mello) and three cats (Camden, Oscar, & Kobe). Everyone in the family enjoys a multitude of outdoor activities including hiking, biking, and scuba diving when time permits.

Kristen Sprunger, DVM
When she’s not at work, her two daughters (Bryn and Eve) keep her busy with their after-school activities and demanding social calendars. If she does get a moment to herself, she loves to try out new recipes with her family, lift weights at the gym, and read books.

Owen Pulver, DVM
When not at work, he likes to keep busy with a number of hobbies, including gardening, cooking, hunting, fishing, hiking, and working out. He also enjoys spending time with his wife, Mackenzie. They currently have one cat (Dash) and one dog (Daisy). Dr. Pulver is also an avid sports fan, with his favorite teams being the Purdue Boilermakers, Chicago Cubs, Chicago Bears, Chicago Bulls, and Chicago Blackhawks

Sam Haygood, BS, RVT
Sam has been a Registered Veterinary Technician at our hospital since September of 2012. She is a 2010 Graduate of Purdue University with a Bachelor of Science in Veterinary Technology. She has a soft spot for scruffy dogs and spicy cats, enjoys challenging cases, and has made it her personal goal to keep Dr. Harbin on his toes with her unprecedented wit.
When she’s not at work, Sam keeps busy with her family activities, pets, and hobbies. She and her husband have two boys active in “sportsball” year-round. Together as a family they love and care for two dogs, Karl Wayne (her favorite, but don’t tell anyone) and June, and three cats, Retta, Phish, and Mor. When she gets a moment to herself, you’ll find her reading a book, listening to a podcast, or trying to sneak in another family pet.

Hannah Stettler, BS, RVT
Hannah is a 2024 graduate of Purdue’s Veterinary Nursing Program and is another of our RVTs with her Bachelor of Science degree. Hannah joined our team shortly after her graduation and despite her small stature, she has been a huge asset to our practice. She loves golden retrievers, cats of all shapes and sizes, building relationships with patients and clients, and following difficult cases from presentation to recovery. Outside of her career, she loves camping, going to the gym, or taking her two golden retrievers (Clover and Ellie) for long walks. She also enjoys concerts, shopping, and trying local coffee shops.

Shelby Jones-Maddox, RVT
Shelby is kept busy with her two human and four furry kids: Rudy, a greyhound; Marnie, an Aussie mix; and Midas and Helios, her feline friends. If you can’t find her during the warmer months, it’s because she’s camping, at a concert, or cheering on her daughter at the softball field.

Vanessa Belcher, RVT
Vanessa lives with her husband, Josh. Together they care for their four pets: Cash, a pitbull; Dahlia and Hank, mini poodles; and Storm, their Siamese mix. In her spare time, she enjoys tending to her ever-growing house plant collection and going to car shows with her husband.

Calyn Pope, RVT
If you have ever been at our hospital and felt a strong breeze, it was Calyn rushing past making sure everything is running as a well-oiled machine. She’s been part of our team since August of 2019. While working full-time with us, she also took online classes through Penn Foster to earn her degree in Veterinary Technology. Calyn also received her BS in Criminal Justice from Indiana
University in 2017, but we try not to hold her past university choices against her (Boiler Up!). Thankfully for us, she ultimately chose veterinary medicine as her career.
Concerts, painting, working out, road trips, and dinner out with friends are just a few of the recreational activities Calyn pursues after hours. She’s known to sing along to every song, share a good joke, and quote Spongebob daily. Her home is filled with love from two rescue cats (Archer and Huey) and one amazing dog named River.

Taylor Anders, Assistant

Audrey Hines, Assistant
When Audrey is away from the hospital, you might find her spending time with her husband, family, and friends or watching the newest rom-com…but don’t ask her the name of the movie, it’s the one with the one guy from that other movie. When Audrey is home, she has the full attention of her super fluffy Bernese Mountain Dog, Rey, and her adorably aloof cat, Clooney.

Jeanna Baker, Assistant

Maddie Johnson, Assistant
At home, she has three cats who basically run the show—Winnie, Applesauce, and Snow. She loves snapping pictures and videos of them, whether they’re doing something funny or just having a sweet moment. When she’s not at work, she can be found relaxing with a good iced coffee, a crime podcast or medical show, and her windows open to let in a nice breeze.

Kendra Stelzel, Assistant
Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her kids and her horses, especially her favorite, Zue. Whether she is out riding, caring for animals, or enjoying the outdoors, she is happiest when she can connect with animals and nature.

Sierra Grooms, Receptionist
Sierra loves coffee, astrology, Japanese culture, and crystals. Sierra has always been an avid animal lover, so much so that she became a vegetarian! She loves all animals, including dogs and cats, elephants, big jungle cats, and even penguins and dolphins. Sierra is a phenomenal artist, and when she has the time you can find her doing puzzles, painting, reading, writing poetry, or cuddling her Yorkshire terrier, Bruno.

Stacey Valentine, Receptionist
Stacey has been an unflappable part of our team since July of 2014. Stacey does the impossible: fielding phone calls, checking in our patients, balancing the schedule of appointments, and deciphering the writing of our veterinarians. Stacey has an associate’s degree in accounting and her veterinary assistant diploma.
Rain or shine, you will find her outdoors. It doesn’t matter how warm or cold, she enjoys hiking, camping, kayaking and fishing. Her love of the outdoors has led her to become an Advanced Indiana Master Naturalist. Stacey also enjoys the company of her substantial Great Dane, Luna, and her lovable cat, Geoff.
