McCordsville, IN
Providing excellent veterinary services since 1998

In order to provide the best care possible before you arrive, it is extremely helpful to fill out the new client and/or new pet form online. In addition, emailing (info@mccordsvillevet.com) or faxing (317-335-3758) all of your pet’s medical information including written medical records. This will allow us to have everything ready when you arrive. If this is not possible, we can provide paper forms for you to fill out and copy medical records at the time of the appointment if you arrive 15 minutes prior to your appointment time.

Once you arrive you will be greeted warmly as we check you in by our receptionist. We will do our best to make sure you are brought into an examination room as soon as we have one available. Our goal is to make sure all patients are seen on time, but there will be times the is an unexpected delay due to an emergency or because we are providing care for a patient that needs a little more time. Please accept our apologies should this occur, and understand that the same dedication and courtesy will be provided to your pet should they ever need it.

Here’s what to expect during your visit:

•Once checked in, one of our team members will see you into the exam room and discuss your pet’s medical history and reason for the appointment.

•A veterinarian will then meet you, gather basic information about your pet’s health, examine your pet from nose to tail, talk about any questions or concerns you may have, and plan further diagnostics or treatment as needed. Depending on the size of the pet and current Covid-19 protocols the examination may occur in the room with the owner present or in our treatment area.

•Recommended diagnostics tests (i.e., blood work and x-rays) and treatments will be discussed with you, and an estimate provided for your approval upon request.

•When the veterinary consultation is complete, a staff member will finalize your billing and future appointment bookings. This may be completed at the reception desk or in the examination room depending on which is most efficient at the time.

•Depending on the reason for your visit, you may expect a follow-up call or text from one of our staff to get an update on how your pet has been doing since their visit. If you have any concerns, please feel free to call to discuss.

We hope you enjoy your visit, make it as stress-free as possible for your pet, and provide high-quality care for you and your pet.
